Google proxies

Google proxies for search, local and ads data

Collect Google search results, local packs, autocomplete and ads exactly as searchers in each city see them. Use residential IPs with your own parser, or let our SERP API return parsed JSON.

What teams collect on Google

  • Organic rankings by city
  • Local pack and Maps listings
  • Search ads and their landing pages
  • People Also Ask questions
  • Autocomplete suggestions by language
  • Google Shopping prices and sellers

The challenge

Why Google is hard to collect at scale.

What usually breaks first when a Google job grows from a few pages to thousands.

  1. 01

    Unusual traffic checks

Google rate-limits automated queries per IP and answers with the unusual traffic page and CAPTCHAs. A tracker on one server address fails within minutes, and every missed check leaves a hole in your data.

  2. 02

    Hyperlocal results

The local pack, Maps listings and even organic positions change from one city to the next. Without IPs in each location, you report averages that no real searcher ever sees.

  3. 03

    Constant layout changes

Google adds, moves and redesigns SERP features all the time, and many results now depend on JavaScript. Parsers built on fixed selectors break quietly and corrupt your historical data.

Targeting tips

Get the data local users see.

  • Match gl and hl to the IP country, for example gl=de and hl=de with -country-de, so Google does not mix locales.
  • Use -city- for local pack and Maps checks; organic tracking usually needs only a country or state.
  • Expect a cookie consent page on EU and UK IPs and handle it in your browser flow before you parse results.
  • Keep one sticky session per keyword when you paginate, so page two comes from the same IP as page one.

FAQ

Google proxy questions.

Still unsure? Our team helps you pick the right product and size.

Ask a proxy expert
Why does Google block my scraper?

Google limits how many automated queries one IP can send and scores traffic for signs of automation. Datacenter ranges and repeated queries from one address quickly lead to the unusual traffic page. Residential IPs that rotate per query, realistic headers and polite pacing keep far more of your requests successful.

Can I get Google results for a specific city?

Yes. Add -city- to the username, for example USERNAME-country-us-city-chicago, so each query exits from an IP in that city. With our Google SERP API, pass location=Chicago,Illinois instead and receive organic results, ads and local results as JSON, with no parser to maintain.

Should I use proxies or the Google SERP API?

Choose the SERP API when you want parsed JSON without maintaining a parser: one request returns one results page, from $0.16 per 1,000 requests. Choose residential proxies when you need full control, screenshots, other Google properties or your own rendering pipeline.

Do datacenter proxies work on Google?

For occasional queries they can, but Google flags datacenter ranges much faster than residential traffic, so failure rates climb with volume. For daily rank tracking or local results, residential or mobile IPs are the dependable choice. Keep datacenter IPs for the other targets in your stack.

Is it legal to scrape Google search results?

Search results are publicly visible, and SEO tools have collected rankings for many years. Google's terms of service still restrict automated access, so assess the risk for your use case, keep volumes reasonable, avoid collecting personal data and follow our acceptable use policy. When in doubt, ask legal counsel.
